TO DO and NOT TO-DO's
Over the years of hearing our friends feedback, we have decided that at least one tanguero is having a bad experience with local taxis
Don't take taxis from the center of Taksim or Sultanahmet.
Lower your chances of paying extra to taxis. It can happen anywhere around the world as we know; however, we want to lower the cause at minimum.
Use taxi stations or call a taxi
Try to speak to Turkish if you want to be polite, don't try to speak to make people think that you are a local, YOU WILL NEVER BE, so let it go
Always negotiate in Istanbul street shopping including Grand Bazaar. Don't negotiate if it is a corporate store
